New Offices

berkeley houseIt was three years ago when TechSolvers was started, at that time we were working out of a converted basement in Bushey. Since then the company has continued to grow and the basement became too small for us. So a few months ago we moved into a new office in London Colney.

What's different, well we have Windows now. But seriously the new office has been great, more space for us all to work, and we have areas dedicated for building our customers servers and other equipment.

The location works brilliantly for us, We are still in Hertfordshire and only a few minutes' drive to the M25 and M1. Also with fast trains into London from St. Albans we can get to all our clients offices whenever we need.

Malware Issues

This week we came across a virus, not an unusual occurrence, but in this case the infection was identified via IPCONFIG. It's a useful command but not one I would have expected to help with finding infections.

The client called us with a machine that was suffering from slow internet speeds. Once we identified that it was a single machine problem we knew the issue was with the PC, not the internet connection itself.

Sharepoint Online

SharePoint online is a great product, but we recently came across an issue with it, an issue worth mentioning here.

In this situation the client wanted to use SharePoint as an online repository for documents and files. Fairly standard stuff. However the client wanted to access SharePoint via a mapped network drive. Again it shouldn't be a problem.
